Many beginner dives in Marsa Alam take place in sheltered bays or shallow reefs close to shore.

The typical depth for an intro dive is up to about 7 metres (or modestly deeper depending on the operator) and duration is around 20-30 minutes and then you can snorkeling.

Important point: Because depth and time are limited, the risk is reduced and the experience is tuned for comfort and safety.
