Statement by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities:

With reference to the news circulating in some newspapers and websites over the past few hours claiming that Egypt has raised visa fees from $25 to $45, as part of legislative amendments to Law No. 175 of 2025 concerning fees for Ministry of Foreign Affairs buildings, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities confirms that this news is completely false. No executive decisions have been made regarding increasing visa fees for entry into Egypt. The decisions made at present only set a maximum limit for visa fees, not implement an increase.

The Ministry emphasizes that what is being circulated is merely a rumor, and affirms that any information related to entry visas or other matters will be announced, as usual, through official statements issued by the relevant executive authorities in the country.

The Ministry urges all media outlets and social media users to verify information and contact official sources before publishing any information on this matter.
