The tourism sector’s contribution to the US GDP is projected to reach 10.9% in 2024, showcasing its pivotal role in the global economy. In 2024, the number of registered US visitors is expected to rise to 1.9 trillion, with global tourism recovering strongly post-pandemic.
Notable growth was seen in international visitors, with numbers climbing from 975.6 million in 2022 to 1.470 billion in 2024. The tourism sector in Egypt also showed significant growth, reaching 3.7% of the domestic tourism sector for 2024-2025, supported by innovative entertainment projects.
Overall, the tourism sector is recognized as a vital driver of economic growth, aligning with Egypt’s Vision 2030 objectives.
